We welcome our guests with daily essentials to recover from homelessness, hunger, addiction and poverty. We encourage them to pursue life change through our short and long-term recovery programs.
We pray that people leave here healed and whole through Christ’s love and with the tools for stable, independent lives in our community.
The Union Rescue Mission is committed to sharing the gospel and meeting the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of the homeless and poor in our community.
Our highest aim is to lead people to redemptive and vibrant relationships with God.
As the largest emergency shelter and life-change center for homeless men in Kansas, we provide emergency services like meals and overnight housing to meet people’s basic needs. Our community food box program sustains thousands with food. Hundreds of packages of formula and diapers are given to low-income families and single mothers each year.
We provide short and long-term help. Our New Beginnings recovery program offers emotional and spiritual care through Christian discipleship and the tools for men to build new lives, with Christ’s love as their foundation.
The hands of Christ reaching out with Love, often reaching out to the “Unloved.”
The extended arms of the various churches in the Wichita community, offering Christ’s Plan of Salvation to the Least, the Lost, and the Lonely.
Today’s living example of ‘The Good Samaritan’* – Luke 10:29-37
